A Time to Reflect

By: WildRock Team

Thanksgiving Day can mean something different to everyone; whether it’s Stef’s dream of sharing it with an Olympic skier, Kristin’s giant cornucopia made of bread, Alicia’s turkey trot tradition or Lauren’s love of pecan pie.

Here’s a little Q&A with our Rockstars about how they do Thanksgiving:

Stefanie Walters – Account Coordinator

  • Favorite Thanksgiving food: Mashed potatoes
  • Least favorite: Turkey
  • Person you’d want to share Thanksgiving dinner with: Picabo Street, Olympic Alpine Ski Racer
  • Favorite Thanksgiving memory: The holidays are really the only time my cousins and I are all together. Every Thanksgiving, you can find us playing card games and having a blast.
  • Quirky holiday traditions: For Christmas we always have a fancy crab and steak dinner, which we all eat in our pajamas.
  • Time to decorate for Christmas: After Thanksgiving
  • What you’re thankful for this Thanksgiving: My family and friends

Kristin Golliher – Founder & CEO

  • Favorite Thanksgiving food: Mashed potatoes
  • Least favorite: I don’t really like Thanksgiving food
  • Person you’d want to share Thanksgiving dinner with: Amelia Earhart, she was such a pioneer with an adventurous spirit
  • Favorite Thanksgiving memory: One Thanksgiving, we invited our Canadian neighbors over for dinner and made a huge cornucopia out of Pillsbury dough. We couldn’t finish it, so they took it home to freeze. It was forgotten about for roughly 10 years, so now we joke, “How’s the cornucopia look?”
  • Quirky holiday traditions: We always make things out of Pillsbury dough
  • Time to decorate for Christmas: After Thanksgiving
  • What you’re thankful for this Thanksgiving: My family

Alicia Beard – Account Director

  • Favorite Thanksgiving food: Pecan pie
  • Least favorite: Turkey, I’m a pescatarian
  • Person you’d want to share Thanksgiving dinner with: Maya Angelou
  • Favorite Thanksgiving memory: As a child, we went to Port Townsend, Washington and had Thanksgiving dinner on an island. It was beautiful.
  • Quirky holiday traditions: We do the Turkey Trot every year.
  • Time to decorate for Christmas: Before Thanksgiving
  • What you’re thankful for this Thanksgiving: My family’s health

Lauren Albin – Administrative Assistant

  • Favorite Thanksgiving food: Pecan pie
  • Least favorite: Green bean casserole
  • Person you’d want to share Thanksgiving dinner with: Justin Bieber, my family would be so happy
  • Favorite Thanksgiving memory: My older sister studied abroad one year, and we were all sad she was missing Thanksgiving for the first time ever. However, we FaceTimed with her the whole night and even took a family picture with us holding the phone up.
  • Quirky holiday traditions: As soon as my mom, sisters and I leave our family Thanksgiving party, we immediately turn on the SHeDAISY Christmas album and sing it the whole way home.
  • Time to decorate for Christmas: Before Thanksgiving
  • What you’re thankful for this Thanksgiving: My family, even though everyone else already said it

Although everyone has their own unique way of celebrating, one thing can all agree on is that we are extremely thankful for our family and all the special people in our lives. What are you most thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
