LULZBOT

LulzBot is a 3D printer product line of Aleph Objects, Inc. that was on the brink of what was quickly transitioning from an obscure futuristic concept to an increasingly mainstream industry- 3D printing. LulzBot reached out to WildRock Public Relations & Marketing to support with media relation efforts to promote their crowdfunding campaign on Fundable with the goal to raise $100,000 in equity.

Our Approach

Research showed that building anticipation for the crowdfunding launch in advance was key to overall success, so the WildRock team began curating lists of potential backers and supportive audiences. This allowed us to craft compelling messaging to capture existing demand from early adopters of 3D printing months before launch. Starting two weeks before the Fundable campaign, WildRock began sending embargoed pitches to key media contacts in the tech and hacker spaces, securing interviews and placements in advance. Enough pre-orders came in before the campaign had even launched that when WildRock distributed the press release on launch day, LulzBot had already hit their first funding milestone!
