The Lakes at Centerra is an upscale community developed in Loveland, Colo. by McWHINNEY offering condos, townhomes and single-family homes. In 2014, The Lakes partnered with WildRock for digital marketing support and expanded efforts in 2016 to also include strategic planning, blog content creation and organic social media management for Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. As the community was still in development, McWHINNEY was looking to promote available homes and lots to prospective buyers as well as create engagement among existing residences. Specific goals included increasing social media audiences on Facebook and Instagram, increasing rates of social engagement, supporting lead generation efforts by growing the email marketing database, driving website traffic from social and developing regular SEO-enhanced blogs for the website. As a long-standing partner with The Lakes, WildRock supported these efforts for five years.

Our Approach
WildRock worked collaboratively with other key marketing partners focused on branding, website management, SEO, traditional advertising and resident community life to ensure cohesive efforts across all channels. After developing a strategic plan at the start of each year, our team would create organic Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest content monthly following identified content themes. We were active in evaluating platform changes and keeping a pulse on broader social media trends to ensure best practices were being followed. We also monitored relevant hashtags and mined for user-generated content (UGC) weekly to identify prominent community members, engage with community partners and share/like visually appealing UGC. We even created quarterly social media posts for builders in the community to use on their channels to help with reach. A key strategy for The Lakes was paid social media advertising which helped complement organic activities while making significant progress on goals.
