The Rock to Our Wild

Kristin is the Rock to our Wild, and actually, the Wild too! Incredibly passionate about the health and happiness of WildRock, Kristin is the ultimate filler of awkward silences and cheerleader for employees and clients alike – always searching for the next big idea. In 2012, her entrepreneurial dream became a reality with WildRock PR & Marketing, and she continues to be in awe of the unwavering support from her husband (a.k.a. certified handyman of WildRock) and two beautiful daughters.

Before she was starting businesses and winning awards, Kristin was on the ground floor of OtterBox, building the public relations and marketing department as well as re-strategizing the brand into the powerhouse it is today. Kristin has been recognized as a Top 25 Most Influential Young Professional in Colorado (2016), Northern Colorado Superwoman (2016), 40 Under Forty (2013) and a Women of Distinction finalist (2013). She has led her team to success with year-over-year recognition from the Public Relations Society of America—9 Gold and 12 Silver Pick Awards ( as of 2019) and WildRock’s first-ever national award, Hermes Creative Award, — as well as accolades from her alma mater, Colorado State University, with a Cammy & Cammy Maximus Award (2016).

Spending summers on her family’s farm, Kristin is a closet country girl who knows the importance of hard work (and raising dairy calves). If she’s not working, she’s likely reading a book about working, cocktail in hand. She can also be found going for a run, catching a yoga class, or embarrassing her daughters by cheering too loudly at their soccer games.

What children’s book describes your life?

The Little Engine That Could because I value optimism and hard work…I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!

What is your karaoke song of choice?

In the world of entrepreneurship, my karaoke theme song is Wilson Phillips “Hold On.” The lyrics really strike a chord with me. “Don’t you know things can change, things’ll go your way, if you hold on one more day!”

What is your favorite movie line?

“Towanda!” from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. It is defined as, “a word used to express extreme excitement while doing something crazy.” Pretty much sums up my life!
