WildRock Gives Back

By: Kristin Golliher, WildRock CEO & Founder

As the weather changes and we start seeing hints of the holiday season approaching (anyone else notice the growing number of turkey decorations in the grocery stores?), we are reminded of the importance of taking some time out of our busy lives to give back to the community we serve.  The Junior League of Fort Collins (JLFC) has diligently organized this year’s Third Annual Pennies for a Purpose Tag Sale and Preview Party to take place on Friday, Oct. 12th, and Saturday, Oct. 13th, and WildRockers are thrilled for the opportunity to participate in this important event.

According to their mission statement, “The Junior League of Fort Collins is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.” The money raised at JLFC fundraisers directly benefits a variety of programs created by the Junior League to help improve our community, including Kids in the Kitchen, the Poudre School District Snack Program and ABLEWomen.

This year’s Pennies for a Purpose event is a unique fundraiser aimed at raising funds for their vital community programs, while offering a fun event and exciting atmosphere for participants. The Tag Sale, held on Saturday, is focused around a massive rummage sale offering gently-used, quality goods donated by JLFC members and their family and friends. The Preview Party on Friday evening is a ticketed event, and the expected 200 attendees will enjoy first-chance shopping, door prizes and a blind auction of new, sponsor-donated items.

This year, WildRock is honored to be a Silver Sponsor for the Pennies for a Purpose event. As a locally-owned business we strive to be an active participant in bettering the Northern Colorado community and feel privileged to join the JLFC in their efforts, and can’t wait to spend a lively Friday night giving back!

Whether it’s attending gratifying and charitable events like Pennies for a Purpose or dedicating time to an organization close to your heart, as we dig through our closets for those winter coats and scarves we encourage our friends and supporters to join in sharing the warmth of community through finding your own way to reach out.
